Process

A process built for accountability, not billable hours

Every engagement starts with a fixed-scope discovery sprint, runs on a weekly demo cadence, and gives you direct access to the engineer writing your code.

01

30–45 minutes

Discovery call

A senior engineer — the person who would actually build your project — walks through your problem, constraints, timeline, and existing systems. No sales handoff, no discovery questionnaire filtered through a rep.

02

1–2 weeks

Paid discovery sprint

A fixed-price, scoped engagement that produces a concrete architecture plan, a delivery estimate, and a working proof of concept where useful. You get a decision-ready document, not a vague proposal — and you can walk away with it even if we don't continue together.

03

Ongoing, weekly cadence

Build in the open

Weekly demos against a real staging environment, direct Slack or email access to the engineer writing your code, and a shared backlog you can see at any time. Nothing ships that you haven't already watched work.

04

At each milestone

Ship & hand over

Production deployment with CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation written for the team that inherits the system — whether that's your internal engineers or an ongoing partnership with us.

Engagement models

Three ways to work together

Every engagement starts with discovery — from there, the model depends on how well-defined your scope is and how long you need us.

Paid Discovery Sprint

The entry point for most engagements. A fixed-price, time-boxed sprint that ends with an architecture plan, risk assessment, and delivery estimate — before you commit to a full build.

Best for

New projects, unclear scope, or validating an approach before funding a full build.

Fixed-Scope Project

A defined deliverable, timeline, and price, agreed after discovery. Weekly demos and milestone-based payment keep the engagement accountable end to end.

Best for

Well-scoped builds — a platform, a migration, an integration — with a clear definition of done.

Embedded Engineering

Ongoing, senior-engineer capacity working inside your team and your existing tools — for teams that need sustained delivery, not a one-off project.

Best for

Teams scaling delivery, covering a gap, or wanting AI-fluent senior engineering long-term.

FAQ

Common questions

Most discovery calls happen within a few business days of first contact, and a paid discovery sprint can typically start the following week once scope is agreed.

AI models are used where they measurably speed up delivery — scaffolding, code review, test generation, and in some cases as a feature inside the product itself (document processing, predictive analysis). Every AI-assisted output is reviewed and owned by a senior engineer before it ships; AI accelerates the work, it doesn't replace engineering judgment.

NDAs are standard before any confidential discussion. You retain full IP ownership of everything built for you. Engagements involving sensitive or classified data can draw on direct experience holding UK SC (Security Check) clearance for government and defense work.

Both. Some engagements are fully end-to-end delivery; others are embedded work alongside an existing engineering team, picking up a specific system or gap in capacity.
